Science L iiib Possessing an outstanding membership record, the Science Club has enjoyed a most successful year. In order to create a greater interest in scie.ice, the program consisted of numerous lectures, demonstrations and field trips per- taining to astronomy, physics, biology and chemistry. The lectures and demonstrations were given by members of the faculty and members of the club. Trips were made to such places as the Lowell Sun, the Lowell Gas Company and Lowell Textile Institute. In order to keep the members in contact with the latest scientific development and research, the club sub- scribed to Science News Letter, a publication sponsored by the Science Clubs of America. Apart from the intellectual side, the club enjoys man) social activities. Most popular of social events were the Christmas party and the part) held at the closing of the year.
