fr. After the classes are over, the papers graded and the noisy day forgotten, L.H.S. teachers returned home to their own lives. Some of these were more in- teresting than most students would have believed. Teachers, like many other people, enjoyed various activities this ' year. Among the more offbeat hobbiers were Mrs. Pat Klumpp who made stained glass windows in her basement, and Mr. Don McGinnis, who, while en- joying home construction during the . summer, has also collected carpenter planes for the past ten years, some of which date back as far as early 1800. Mr. Dale Larsen turned out to be the most interesting instructor. His hobbies ranged from 12 years of bee-keeping, to refinishing antiques. Mr. Larsen also kept busy by collecting and polishing rocks, some of which he made into jew- elry. In the times of ever increasing indeci- sion and pressure, it's good to know that teachers are people too. as A fi Qei Mrs. Klumpp shows off one of hcr favorite stained glass windows When Teachers Don9t Teach t 2 i Mr. Larsen displays the finished products of his jewelry, antique refinishing, and weather vane production hobbies
