ONE-ACT PLACES FIFTH AT STATE Doug and Amy are so happy to be at After the long van ride to Grand Island, Amy begins to prepare for competition. State. This year’s One-Act Play production “The Puppet Mas- ter” was a huge success. The play, directed by Janice Frayser, was awarded the D-l District Championship at Peru State College, qualifying the play for state competition at Grand Is- land. The cast of Cathy Kempkes, narrator, Amy Reese, girl puppet, and Doug O’Neill, boy puppet gave a sterling per- formance and placed fifth. The stage crew also put in alot of hard work preparing the set. They were Kerri Wigington, Debbie Heng, Jenny Eppen- baugh, and Amy Giittinger. A special thanks goes to Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reese, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Calvert, Casper Nin- gen and Janice Frayser for their help with the play. Amy, Doug and Cathy rehearse before their performance for the elementary. 30
