In January, the entire school suffered a great loss when Sr. Rose Vincent, our Spanish and Business teacher, fell and broke a leg. For the first time in 14 years Lourdes had to go on without a teacher who had al- ways proved to be one of its most active components. How did we manage? With a little help from the Ursu- line Order: beautifully. To the right is Srt Susan Mary, who took on Sister's Spanish classes, and below is Sr. Mary Albert who conducted her classes in Busi- ness. Both were great, and we never could have done it without them. 28

What is a Lourdes student? First, hard to de- fine. He comes in the usual assortment sizes, shapes, and temperaments, and yet he is in each case, someone unique Perhaps he can best be defined by what he does-which is a little of everything. If musically inclined, his day begins at 7:45 with band, 30
