---y VV AA V AA YV AA Y Q? 445 WV ll, W :W X :WN MN MN 74 4 Believe It or Not . . . but, I had such an unusual experience the other day that I can hardly wait to tell you about it. I got my first surprise in the morning on arriv- ing at what I thought was school. In the first place the old office was now the radio control room, and in it was President Paley Bixler with his feet on his desk and a seegar in his mouth. Marjorie still had her old jobg and in one corner was the chief technician, Kerchner. After I got over my first surprise, I looked over the rest of the building. The first thing I heard was some one counting, so I traced the sound to its source, studio 22, and found that it was Patty J can Whitted giving her radio audience their morning exercises Land also taking them herselfl Incidentally, she told me that this is the only way she can keep her Weight down. In the next studio that famous cooking expert, Tizzy Lish Foltz, was giving one of her favorite recipes. fEvidently no one heard it because, according to the next day's paper, no one had diedj. I had to rush along then for a while, but I dropped in to hear part of the Ma Perkins White dictation program. I also heard part of a program where Vic Ashbaugh just came home and was asking Sade', how Adele was. Just before I went to dinner I heard Park Avenue Penner Pickens yell I'm snubbin' you. In the afternoon I had to skip around a lot, for I had time to listen only to parts of programs. Fibber McM.offett was just telling Molly McZechiel about the time when he put out the most successful annual Alliance High School ever had. However, she politely told him that she had read it and it wasn't even funny. Just then Mrs, Upson Warstler QUpsie Daisiej came in and said, I never saw that annual - it must have been terrible - I don't like that blond hair you're wearing anyhow. As I passed an open door on the way to the next program, I heard that bald headed music maker, Wendal1 Hall Riley, singing the praises of Fitch's Dandruff Remover Shampoo. For something different I then looked and listened while Fred Astaire Wilson and his greatest star of the evening, Ginger Rog- ers Wilson, put on a tap dancing act. Just as I entered studio 16 Hayden McMoreland, the director of Do You Want To Be An Actor ? was dem- onstrating to one of the would-be actors the proper way to embrace. On the way over to Eddie Morgan's program, I stopped in for awhile to hear Roush the Human Chatterbox tell about the comings of Harry, her hus- band. Good Evening ladies and gentleman, this is Ellis Wallington The makers of that fire engine gas present Eddie Morgan, the Mayor of Texaco Town. After jokes on his absentee wife, Ida Beal, Eddie intro- duced those two delightful singing stars of radio and screen, Bobby Breen Lutz and Deanna Durbin Warren in a vocal duet, I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm. After several interruptions by Parkyourcarcass Stro- bel, Eddie told us how well he would like to spend another hour with us. Just as Kate Smith De Verna brought the moon over the mountain, I left for home. Yours, Walter Snoop. Page ten
