Bicentennial Year While other students were at the beach or at home over Spring Break, March 6-14, ,18 Louisburg College stu- dents were in London, England. Under the leadership of Don Steinert, Instructor of Music and Director of the Glee Club and Ensemble, the trip to England was made possible. The trip was in keeping with the Bicentennial celebration of Louisburg Col- lege and its great tradition of the edu- cational experience. Louisburg Col- lege has long been associated with Methodism, and in 1909 was donated to the Methodist Episcopal Church. When Miss Sarah Foster joined the faculty in 1945, she immediately formed a small group of singers from the larger Glee Club, and as the Choristers they sang during worship services at area churches and for civic functions in the surrounding communities. After being called the Chapel Choir for an extended period thereafter, the name Ensemble has been associated with them since 1975. On the trip with the Ensemble group were Dr. and Mrs. Norris, William Hinton and sev- eral non-singing students. Ensemble In London Town The group found a lot of time to take pictures of the sights of Merry old London Town, Here Tim Johnson and r?enee Harris get their share of memories. London Trip 28
