If Our Town Louisburg College and the surrounding commu- nity enjoyed three ex- cellent productions by the Louisburg College Players this year. The plays in- cluded Our Town, My Three Angels, and Look Homeward Angel. Mr. Charley-John Smith, drama professor, has proved to be an excellent addition our college faculty with his undertaking of much- needed theatre renova- tions, and the revival of in- terest in drama that has taken place. F The annual Folk Festival was an exicting event this year. The weekend included street dancing, arts and crafts exhibitions, a whistling contest and talented musi- cians playing in the Auditorium. The grand prize winner was Bobby St. Sing, a LC sophomore playing his fiddle. The vocal award went to the Beaux Gestes from Alert, and the clogging award to the Pigeon Valley Cloggers. I think that everyone will remember young Clifton Preddy from Franklinton who could out-clog just about any- body. The Folk Festival is a good ole country hoe- down with lots of fiddling, laughter, and good times. 30 Folk Festival
