Hillman is one of the most fun-lov- ing places on campus. It is known for being a completely different world from the rest of campus. You can al- ways find someone to talk to. Com- radeship is evident here. Loud music is inevitable in Hillman. Hillman is noted for its pebble-beach (sun- bathing mecca), frisbee on the lawn and its separation from the rest at the campus, lust go on over there any- time, the boys are always dead-ready for a good time. Kenan Kenan is the place to be on cam- pus. It ' s the only co-ed dorm at Lou- U; the first and second floors housing women and the third, men. Life in Ke- nan is probably not much different from life in any other dorm, but it is a big challenge for the women to sur- vive. Firecrackers going off at ungodly hours, homemade cannons, and wa- ter balloons dropped on your head from third floor immediately come to mind. Then there were the annoying little things that disturbed people trying to study (both of them). Things like all-night parties, the phone that constantly rang but was never an- swered, and the music which was al- ways too loud. Of course a lot of fun things happened; like hall-slides on first floor, the close Kenan com- radeship that ultimately prevailed, fi- nally making friends with the guys up- stairs, and hanging around with your buddies on the hall. Kenan really is the best of both worlds . 20 Dorms i

Main Main building has a few dorm rooms in it. (Not many stu- dents can say that they live in a historic site). Main dwellers are in the middle of Davis and Franklin dorms, and they seem to hang around with some of those guys. Main build- ing was opened in 1857 as Louisburg Female College and is the oldest brick building on campus. 22 Main
