On a lot of warm weekends, the Lou-U students go to the beach. Whether it be Atlantic, Carolina or Myrtle, we go to soak up the rays (actually trying to catch up with the ones who cut classes all week out by Drake Beach ) St. Paul ' s Episcopal Church in Louisburg sponsored a refugee family of 13 from Vietnam this year. The Ta Fam- ily belonged to the much pitied group of Boat People . They left their home in Saigon in October of 1978 with an unknown destination, and little food or money, but with the help of Lou-Y ' s Christian Life Council the house just outside Louisburg was prepared and donations were made. Now the Ta Family is adjusting well to the United States. Of all of the beasts from Lou-U, we ' ll always remem- ber Ralph, school mascot, who mysteriously disappeared last summer. Ralph, wherever you are, we love you. Boat People
