Stage Crew The A.V. Crew this year has been working herd under the advice of Mr. Rodgers. The crew is responsible for setting up the bleachers and doing various stage. audio visual. and lighting work. aff. tv I .Y if 54 X DRESS COMMITTEE. STAGE CREW W , ' Dress Committee This years dress committee has been working like crazy to keep up school dress codes. Under the supervi sion ol Mrs. Makela. the committee has an equal ratio of students to teachers. They all work together to make the tough decisions.

Varszty The 1979 Varsity Football team showed much improvement over last year's team, not only in the number of games won, but in team unity. With 11 veterans and many good players up from the I.V.'s, this season looked promising. In the first game against La Verne Lutheran, they took a 21-0 half- time lead and went on to win 27-18. They led a very good Fillmore team at the half only to lose 21-7,The low point ofthe season was when Mike Buchanan broke his leg against Whittier. The Goens brothers, Mark and Greg, led the team on offense. Greg showed much poise and an exceptionally strong arm. The line this year was mostly Iun- iors led by All-League second team cen- ter Steve Owen and guard Iohn Mears. The defense was led by All-League line- backer Gary Ide, Ernie Negrette, and Tim Burns. Mark Goens rushed for over 800 yards and provided the fans with many long runs. The Knights ended the season with a convincing win over Lutheran.
