omecoming Court The final event of Homecoming Week, which is always exciting, was the selection of the Homecoming Queen. The senior class was blessed with many deserv- ing young women. They narrowed the choices down to five students: Ioni Klein, Tina Leighton, Kathy Martin- son, Dawn Turner, and Katie Walker. The excitement mounted, and when the votes were tallied Dawn Turner was the 1979-80 Homecoming Queen. if, - i f -5- 4, ,QW ' ' ' ' , V .if T . . .. ,,,,- A as .. The Gzft of Love Participating in the Senior High Christmas Project, many students were inspired by the true meaning of Christmas. The entire school contributed presents which were tallied and wrapped according to Bible classes. Mr. Richard's Senior Bible class brought the most. On December fourteenth many of our stu dents were voluntarily bussed to Echo Park where they met hundreds of children eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa. Well, we all know that Santa is very busy at the North Pole on the fourteenth, so Tommy Thomp- son took his place for the day. I-le dressed all in red from his head to his toe, and we all laughed when we saw him inspite of our- selves. Rob Wilcox, Iim Achilles, and the Gymnastics Club entertained the children. When the students came home, they left behind gifts, but they took with them memo ries of giving which is the true meaning of Christmas. 2 3 50 X SENIOR HIGH CHRISTMAS
