TRADITION LIVE ON! The Seniors Win Again Spirit lives on at Los Angeles Baptist High! This was demon- strated on the first Friday of school. When the students first assembled in the gym, they did such strange things as the Siamese Race, the Wheelbarrow Race, and Soccer. Students like Tina Leighton and Mike Buchanan were involved in the Siamese Race. After the wild adventures in the gym the students retired to the field where more exciting events were held. There was the balloon stomp fdeftly won by the seniorsj, the VW Race, and the Hold-the- water-balloon-between-your- noses Race. The tug 0' war was also a complete success as the seniors tugged away until victory was reached. Try to imagine Bob Layton, Senior high activities director, try- ing to yell over five hundred screaming, spirited students in ninety-five degree weather. In spite of the heat the day went on. In all the day started the year off right with close competition and a victory for the superior twelfth grade! 1. Oops! 2. Linda and Gary play Siamese Twins. 3.
