The three main focal points of the committee are the Big Brother!Big Sister Program, the The Big Brother!Big Sister Program is an inreach-type program. Senior High students are matched up with Iunior High students resulting in a close union of the whole student body. The Senior High students give their time in order to be with, study with, and talk about Christ with their Iunior High little brother or sister. Right now, this program enables the junior High students to feel more comforta- ble in a greater way as future Senior High students. - . An annual responsibility taken on by the Spiritual Life Committee is the Christmas Project. On December 14, 1979, about one hundred children, ages one to twelve, were waiting for them. Under the The S irtual Life Committe is one of great importance to Los Angeles Baptist High School The rea- direction of World Opportunities they organized a talent show, the giving of gifts, singing, Christmas Q cartoons and the provision of refreshments. This Outreach gave the opportunity of giving some of our time to share the love of Christ with the children, in a spiritual way. ln chapel, we hear speakers, listen to music, watch films, and receive a better under- standing of what is vital in the walk of a Christian. This time is a Worshipful experience when students can move adide from the pressure of the school and examine their lives spiritually. The Spiritual Life , Committe offers suggestions as to what type of Chapels would be good in order to make an impact on , the students. The Spiritual Life Committe discusses and works on other areas, but the Big Brother!Big Sister Pro- gram, the Christmas Project and the chapel services are the most important and they all have major importance every year. They hope, as a Spiritual Life Committee, that they can set a pace for the years l to come and God will be glorified. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Iesus unto good 5 works, which Cod hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Elph. 2:10.
