At Baptist l-ligh, the real promise of the future lies with the grad- uats. They as no one else. embody the spirit and ideals of the school. When graduates succeed, the school succeeds. Founded in 1962, the shcool has 18 years of proof that Christ- centered, life-oriented education produces young people of deep commitment and character. That is what the founders of the school believed: When they built the classroom wing on Woodley Avenue: When they built the athletic field and locker room wing in 1965 When they added the gymnasium in 1971. Parents have also believed. Enrollment has been at maximum since 1977 Cover 7001 with four qualified applicants being turned down for every student acepted. This cannot continue. The origi- nal plans for Baptist High called for 1,000 students, a promise the administration inteds to keep. What then is the Promise of the Future for the school? It is sim- ply this: early construction of a new classroom wing paralleling Lasse Street north of the red brick building. Some funds have already been earmarked for this purpose from the year's Annual Funds Appeal. An architect has drawn preliminary plans with a view to making early acceptanced of bids on a new building a reality. ln fact, next year's Annual Funds Appeal will concentrate on raising the dollars necessary to proceed with early ground- breaking. Sound exciting? It is! We could very easily have over 900 stu- dents by fall of 1981. The secret: prayer, faith. and generous giving. Do you believe that? If you do, the new building will visibly rise beginning as early as fall, 1980. And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22 ,tt f .... tits . .. .
