Blackis Sheep ' 2. Miss Black, assisted by her responsible Iunior High representatives, gave the Iunior High a year of excit- ing events and activities. Elected in their Social Stud- ies classes were eighth grade representatives Kristen Bleier, Richelle Raymond, and Harlyn Ramsey, along with Dave Kaak, Beth Sullivan, Miles Pfeifer, and Mike Forgerson, who represented the seventh grade. They aided Iunior High President Iohn Koh in plan- ning activities such as Spirit Day and the Iunior High Christmas Project. All in all, the Iunior High Student Council was successful in accomplishing its duty, making Iunior High an experience to remember. 1. 1' A cceptable Wagging Tongues Coached by Miss Black, junior high students par- ticipated inthe yearly Iunior High Speech Contest to experience speaking before large audiences. They were given the chance to use their talents in various categories. Kirsten Wilson and Intha Wilson did Bible Readingg the Dramatic Reading section was made up of Iohn Pollock and seventh grader Holly Iohnson. Competitors in the Oratory Section were Matt Niblock and Ioe D'Virgilio. The participating students were selected after an initial tryout before judges Miss Black, Mr. Richards, Mr. Leyda, and Mr. Hild. These contest competitors have often gone on to attain student government pos- itions in later years at LAB. L.A. Baptist has estab- lished a long tradition of excellent performance in .
