During Spirit Week, each class dressed up on their specially desig- nated day. Monday was freshmen I Don't Care Day, Tuesday was sophomore Grandma and Grandpa Day, the junior class dressed to Plaid and Strip Day, on Wednesday, the seniors hosted Costume Day on Thursday, and on Friday the entire student body dressed up to the homecoming theme, 'Southern Nights . In addition to dressing up, there was class competition activities each day during lunch. Monday each class competed in the swim- ming relay, on Tuesday came the lipstick relay, Wednesday was the licorice fpepperonil stick kiss, and the ice cream eating contest was held on Thursday. Friday was the Homecoming Assembly, and at this time it was announced that the juniors had broken a tradition of seniors always winning spirit weeki competition. The juniors came in first place, seniors placed second, sophomores were third and freshmen traditionaly ended in last place.
