This year's head coach was Dave Selph. The assistant coaches were Don Webster, Bob Chambers, Jeff Riggins, Dave Auxier, and Bob Cic- ero. 'l'T1e team spent many long and hard hours at practice everyday and it finally paid off when they beat our rival school, La Quinta, 21 to 0. The Lobos entered the Garden Grove League in a four way tie and then beat Garden Grove and Santiago. The team came out tied for first place with Rancho Alamitos at the end of league play. They had de- feated Rancho during the season and therefore were able to enter C.LI f in first place. The team unfortunately lost in the second round.
