In preparation for the Orange County Academic Decathlon, stu- dents were coached by English teachers Dee Wilhite and Jeanette Morin. The Junior-Senior team competed Nov. 20, and the Fresh- men -Sophomore team competed on Feb. 26. Even though it was hard work, it was also very re- warding. It was a good experience and it allowed students to gain confidence in giving speeches, in addition to learning some new things. Each Wednesday they meet during lunch to discuss the sales of German choco- lates and gummi bears. The money that they raised went toward t-shirts which were ordered by many members. About I2 of the members of the club went to German Camp Oct. 1 5-1 7. This camp was located at Camp Davis near Running Springs. hu.. German Club l l l
