RlChi1l'd Sl0SClC Mr. Douglas fviaclear The administration, headed by Mr. Mauch, principal, Mr. Desimone, vice principal in charge of discipline, and Mr. Kitchen, vice principal in charge of curriculum, met with many new issues this year. On- campus smoking areas and P.E. exemption for students over 18 were ideas that were examined. Mr. Maclear, Director of Student Activities, advising the Associated Student Body, organized the project of restoring the cement LA on the hill. Mr. Maldonado became the Attendance Counselor this year and simplified the complex attendance system in order to reduce office confusion. Under the direction of Mr. Don Edwards, the counselors have their arms full with student problems. They meet students in more specialized and often individualized situations. Self-registration can lead to plenty of scheduling headaches that must be straightened out. Long-range planning for college isalso the counselors' department. Mr. Becker re-lives past elections
