Mike Cates, last year's Sierra League singles champ, returned as a seniorg his sister, Valerie, played the number two spot on Varsity. The strongest doubles team was David Blanco, senior, and Steve Barber, junior. Coach Bernier predicted the team's standing to be in the top three in league standings.
