Cooking, Sewing, Home Care FHA Topics Mrs. Ruth Byrdsong's Future Homemakers of America have helped needy fami- lies, have worked at homes for the elderly, and pre- pared baskets and toys for Christmas. The organiza- tion is also one that takes part in area meetings, attends the State Fair and carries out FHA goals. Their chapter includes both sexes, and it is a large organization. Field trips, flower sales and many activities too numerous to mention are all a part of the life-style of the Future Homemakers of America. LHS Rounds-up an All-new Rodeo Club LHS Rodeo Club Officers: Keith Kindle, Pres.g Bonnie Edwards, Sec., and Roger Smith, V-Pres. The LI-IS Rodeo Club is a new club on the campus this year. Although it con- sists of mostly males, two girls have joined the group. In becoming a member of the Rodeo Club it gives them a chance also to be members of the Texas High School Rodeo Association. Being a member gives them the chance to ride in rodeos and participate in the High School Rodeo Competition. Sponsor, Miss Jennifer Ater. Rodeo Club Members and Sponsor, Mr. Don Gross. FHA Chapter Officers . zy H Homemaking Experiences First Ye ar Homemaking is taken by different class age stu- dents. The freshmen are on their own, as they have Homemaking I by them- selves. This class, like the other homemaking classes, is just a basic start to home situations. They learn to sew, cook, and experience problems.
