CAPT JAMES G WEBER CHIEF OF STAFF Jo1NT TASK FORCE Captain James G. Weber is a native of Me- chanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He attended the Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 1959. Captain Weber received his commission as an Ensign in the United States Naval Reserve from Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island in April 1960. Captain Weber's sea experience includes Maintenance Control Officer for Attack Squad- ron TWELVE, Anti-Air Warfare Officer for USS LITTLE ROCK QCLG 4J, Operations Officer aboard USS RICHARD S. EDWARDS QDD 950J, and Executive Officer of USS ELMER MONTGOMERY QPF 10822. Captain Weber has commanded USS PATTERSON QPF 10615 and, most recently, USS REEVES QCG 241. In his experience ashore, Captain Weber has served in operations research assignments with the staff of Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Vietnam, at the Center for Naval Analyses, in the office of the Secretary of Defense, and in the of- fice of the Chief of Naval Operations. He holds a Master of Science degree in Op- erations Research from the U.S. Naval Postgrad- uate School in Monterey, California. Captain Weber is married to Gayle Arm- strong of Caribou, Maine. 12 1
