While the sophomores are learning about how the human body develops and functions, the juniors and seniors are active- ly participating in gym classes, carrying out a well-rounded program of intra-mural athletics. ln girls' gym classes tumbling, pyramid- building, soccer, war ball, volleyball and basketball constitute an active program. The boys become agile by taking part in basketball, calisthenics, boxing and running a few laps around the gym. That looks easyl Are you kidding? These girls have discovered that it takes muscular co-ordination and balance to perform difficult pyramids and stunts.

admit Mmm, that smells delicious! sigh the students longingly as they pass through the halls while cupcakes are being made in home economics, ome conomicd In planning for the homes of tomorrow, Mrs. Coda's classes learn the importance of man- aging ahousehold efficiently. The first phase of the program consists of Fami ly food budget- ing, dietary needs, canning and preserving, and general principles of cooking. Fashion becomesa Fad during the second phase as pat- terns and artistic designs become new crea- tions. riuerzi gicfucafion Stop! Look! Listen! These are necessary pre- cautionsin drivers education, a twelve-weeks course taught by Mr. Pozega. The funda- mentals of behind-the-wheel driving , road safety, and the parts of the automobile engine are taught. Girls as well as boys learn to fix flats and change tires. The worth of these classes is proved by the decreasein the num- ber of accidents students have. Yes, girls, says Mr, Pozcga, it does take all those parts to make an automobile runl A s

's first-period Glee Club ends I Believe with a Crescendo IIALC Music todlfferent people meansclifferent things To many, it may be come thelrwhole life while to others, a way of expressing their ideas, and to stall others, a means of relaxation. Here at LHS we have two groups which have added much to the community life of Logan during the past year. Through the efforts of Thelma Juergensmeyer and Carl McElfresh the Logan High School Glee Club and Band have been much in demand for special music on special occasions. Raymond Magana entertains the band class with a practice run on his French horn while director McE1fresh checks the notes.
