In the welding shop, metals are cutwith an acetylene torch and the iron welder is used. In machine shop, metals are cut to different sizes and shapes. These future machinists make alot of their own equipment, such as bolts, threads, hammers, and punches. Both classes do numerous odd iobs around school .... repairing broken Ve- netian blinds or mending broken tables and seats. This year they re- paired a truck for the Board of Education and made the metal coal chute for the basement of McDade Hall. Another interesting fact is that the repair broken machinery and make necessary parts for it. When a boy graduates with a vocational diploma, he is prepared and qualified to go directly into a job as either a welder or a machinist. fa I Earl L, Campbell David S.
