Junior Class Officers Al Visintainer Vice Presidem Patty Smith Secretary Frank Hartsel President Ronnie Willis Treasurer JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 1944, we first attended school. How eager we were to learn our ABC's, read and do simple arithmetic. We progressed rapidly through grade school. Then came the day when all the students from east, west, and central joined together and met at junior high. There we had a great experience as we came in contact with many new teachers, friends, and studies. In the eighth grade Ken Dollison won the D.A.R. history award. Upon entering our freshman class, we considered ourselves very important and quite industrious. We found ourselves very much interested in basketball and football. Many of us were even members of the big L.H.S. band! Winners of the D.A.R. citizenship award were Helen Clark and Elmore Beal. We chose as our class officers: president, Frank Hartsell; vice president, Ed Dougherty; secretary, Helen Clark; and treasurer, Mona Marks. They very successfully maneuvered us through the year and into big and awesome senior high! As sophomores, though, we were not used to being treated as under classmen. We enjoyed many good times. Our class officers for this term were: president, Ed Dougherty, vice presi- dent, Judy Schultheis, secretary, Sarolin Palmer, and treasurer, Pauline Heim. Now at the end of our junior year we look back at the excitement of getting our class rings, the hustle and bustle of getting ready for the Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom, and the wonderful times we all have had together. We juniors of 1955 feel that we have been progres- sive in every way, and are looking forward to next year when we will be hailed as grand and glorious seniors! President, Frank Hartsell. Vice president, Al Visintainer. Secretary, Patty Smith. Treasurer, Ron Willis. 24
