Election reform of ASB constitution was initiated by council for more efficient government. The pro- posed amendments were to elect the A-yell leaders individually and to hold class elec- tions in the spring. Voting privileges and including “Sol” as an elective office were also contemplated. Jerry Roster piloted the editing of the constitution and revision of the boys’ dress code. The council sponsored the second annual Soc Hop on Oct. 19 and initiated the Computer Dance on Feb. 13. A bermuda week was proposed for the spring. Council members placed several bulletin (wards on campus for sports and activity dates. Taking community action, the council, led by President Mike Hodgson, supported the school bond campaign and VISTA in rural elementary schools. Attempting to make the victory queen more prominent, her reign was extended to one week. Ten water repellent pennants were pur- chased to fly with the victory flag and over 150 red jackets were obtained for girls sports.
