Librarian's duties are many A would-be traveler in our midst is Miss Grace Morel. She is not particular where she goes so long as there is scenery. But this dream is hard to fulfill because of her busy schedule. She received her AB, from Pacific Union Col- lege and went on to the University of Southern California for the MS. in Library Science, Miss Morel is the pleasant and faithful librarian. Having been here for eight years, she has per- fected our library so that we novv enioy excellent library service and her student assistants are al- ways ready to find information for research proiects. Future secretaries are well frained y ith-r-e three, gay-r-oo-p group. These are familiar sounds to Miss Virginia Randall, BS., and ' X her shorthand class of twenty-two future stenog- raphers. In the business office she keeps books, answers telephones and accepts tuition. In her leisure moments she likes to relax in her favorite overstuffed chair and read an enjoyable book. We shall always remember her good- natured and sweet personality. Standing at the blackboard, Miss Randall writes shorthand characters, as she takes her class through a general routine drill. Long hours and tedious practice make 'C is Jllil es Directing isn't hard when you have Co-operation, says Mr. Hill as he guides the band through an in tricate movement of LaFiesta Mexicana. At the close of a busy spring day Mr. and Mrs. Hill, with Dougie and Pam, pose with their new V.W. before taking a spin into the country. Mr. Melvin S. Hill's long, tedious hours ot work make Lodi Academy's 65-piece concert band out- standing. Mr. Hill received his B.S. from La Sierra College and his M.M. from the University of Southern California. Besides giving private lessons and conducting the band, Mr. Hill also directs the Sabbath School orchestra and is an Associated Student Body sponsor. Long hours of work to prepare for the banquet and the amateur hour have been squeezed into his busy schedule. Xl
