Mr. Maurice Bascom, a graduate ot Union College last year, has been an enthusiastic leader in school activities and assistant dean ot boys. Being an ASB. sponsor calls for many hours of plan- ning. With his help the events ot the second semester were a success. He teaches world history and Old Testament history. A trim campus is his pleasant task I Keeping up the campus is a nevenending task. Mr. Hagele turns the water off so he can water another area. German is an easy subiect for Eric Flato fstandingl, who has recently come to the United States from Ger- many. You see, he can speak very little English and Mr. Hagele takes him through some drills as the rest of the class look on. 26 Mr. Arthur Hagele, B.S., came to Lodi from Sheyenne River Academy. He is the teacher of the newly organized German class. He spent eight of his twenty-seven years in the teaching profes- sion at S.R.A, Mr, Hagele graduated from South Dakota State Teachers College. The neat appearance of the campus can be at- tributed to Mr. Hagele. The group of fellows that work for him are constantly working to improve the looks of the campus.
