Homecoming “85” Dear Ken. Boy. did we have a good homecoming The faculty said it was the best in years. The participation was great. Even the Freshmen got into it! We had lots of fun. On Monday (Snow. Beach. Shade Day) Matt was voted best Snow participant, and Beach Day was a tie between Crystal and John. Talk about crazies in shorts on a cold winters day! Actually, it was warm all week. Tuesday, the T-Birds were voted the best at 50's Day. and Rod Doug were the best nerds. Some things never change! That afternoon the competitions began. The wild orange race was won by the seniors. The sophomore girls followed by winning the 8. yes 8. legged race. The day climaxed with the Seniors piling 18 bodies into Ron's Civic. The Freshmen were a close second with 17; that’s with Mark Deal too! Wednesday Jeff was voted the best at switch-em day while impersonating Mrs. Soucie. Che-Che (Michelle) was the Kiddo day champ. Oh, how true! In the afternoon the great American tricycle race. The Juniors didn't have a chance, too many long legs and, yes, Earl had enough problems! The seniors ended up edging the freshmen for first place; thanks to Laura! Thursday was wild! Angel walked away with the Punk Rock and Hair awards. Jeff had all the girls talking to him. so he won the girls mum. Then the hot dog stuff was on. Who has the biggest mouth? No. not Timmy; Danny won the hot dog contest. Later that night we had a huge bon fire up at the Bins. We had Skits, and the teachers impersonated the Seniors to a T. You should have seen Mrs. Soucie and Mrs. Demers imitate Krissy Lisa. ’’You Sow!” Mr. Stoll played Romeo. I mean Christian. He even came back to show Carrie his Bra!' Mr. Franklin Iimpersonating John) had all his traffic violations and excuses for being late. Mr. Weber (Jerry) 7 didn't have no money; could 1 have some gas? ' Gee. Mr. Stutzman. were we really that bad? The town showed up, and cheered away. Both teams were ready for a victory. Friday, the day we had been waiting for! Crystal was Miss Blue White, and Kim had the wildest hat. Anita had all the Boys talking, so she pocketed the most ribbons. All week long, the weather cooperated. It was always warm. Come Friday, it wasn't so nice. It was the first cold night of the week. At least the wind wasn't blowing. The girls started the night off by taking on Potter. Things didn't go Lodgepole's way for the first time since 1976. The Coyotes prevailed. 15-12, 11-15, 3-15. Oh, well, our girls proved at districts who was the better team. The boys kind of had an uphill climb. Christian's knee was tore up which made him the 3rd senior starter out for the game. Lodgepole was forced to start 4 underclassmen. But the Panthers pulled together and played their best game of the year, trouncing the Coyotes, 42-0. At half time John and Krissy were crowned King and Queen. Stuart Crystal first attendants Christian and Amy second attendants. After the game everyone was ready to boogie! We had a disco and we all danced the night away. Then we all went out and partied, even Krissy! Well, the time is flying by. Got to go. The Senior Class 20
