Lodgepole Takes 2nd, Dalton, Potter Beaten Lodgepole Tops The Lodgepole Panthers took over second place in the Minuteman Conference loop standings this week as they boosted their conference record to 5-1 with a 67-59 victory over Harrisburg Friday night The Lodgepole victory and St Patrick's 74-71 loss to Gurley rearranged the top spots in the MAC loop standings. Gurley is now first with a 5-0 record Lodgepole is second and St Patrick's third at 4-1 Lodgepole trailed in their game by as much as 10 points before Ctoach Larry Homolka's team applied a half court press in the fourth quarter that held Harrisburg to just eight points while Lodgepole scored 20 Rod Mika led the Panthers with 20 points Tim Zalesky added 17 Gale Mitchell had 10 and Roger Behrends 11 HARRISBURG Anderson 10. Tony Grothe, who dumped in 25 points to lead all scorers in the contest, fouled out midway in the fourth frame and Lodgepole took over. The Panthers scored 22 points in the final frame and held the Irish to 14 for the victory. St. Patrick's was rated seventh in the state in last week's Omaha World Herald Class D ratings.
