“
Forward The eye of the camera reports exactly what it sees. The '66 Panther portrays the everyday routine of school, the excitement of football and basketball games, the wild pep rallies , the corridors echoing with chatter about Saturday's date, the biology test, homecoming, the music contests, and the glamor of Prom. It is this spirit of activities which our book has attempted to preserve. We feel that the time and effort that produced this book are Justified if they recall a precious memory, a dear friendship, a moment of excitement, or a recollection of the Joy of youth that was ours this year-----1966. You made it; the Panther preserves it. Dedication To Our Mothers and Fathers: You've helped us in so many ways-In studies, fun, and even plays. We've borrowed the car, left work undone, And spent too much time having fun. For the many loving things you do, We dedicate this book to you. by Elinor Hafer Duane Freeman Superintendent Trigonometry- Congratulations to the annual staff and sponsor for the preparation of another fine yearbook. It will serve to refresh many pleasant memories of school days in coming years. The days that are spent in pursuit of education are days that prepare for adult life. The activities both inside and outside the classroom serve to expand both interest and knowledge into a broad concept of social values and understandings that allow each student to better contribute to society. In reality, school becomes much like a preliminary life's occupation. The caliber of work in the classroom often indicates how well the individual reacts in adult life. Relations between classmates and teachers often continue in much the same way in comparable adult situations. Acceptance of responsibility and appreciation of certain standards do not often change radically upon receiving a high school diploma. It is my hope that these school years will serve as a practice ground where proper attitudes and ideas are learned. May they carry through to build a successful and fruitful future. Duane Freeman I.
