IN MEMORIAM Paul E. Wlhite came to Lockport High School in the fall of 1926 where he became head of the business education department. His unexpected death last summer terminated the thirty-three years of service in which he endeavored to pass the torch of knowledge to his many students. Mr. VVhite received his BS. degree from Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois. Con- tinuing his education at Northwestern Uni- versity, he completed his graduate work for a master's degree. Mr. Wlhite advocated that ua busy man is a happy man, a philosophy which he truly excmplihed in his own life every day. He also believed that a man should have a hobby en- tirely different from his regular job. True to his principles, Mr. Wlhite spent many enjoy- able Hoff the jobl' hours working on his farm in Sturgis, Michigan, on Big Fish Lake, In his years at Lockport, not only his stu- dents, but also many other students who knew Paul Wlhite grew to respect and admire him. M70 honor Mr. Wlhite and will long re- member him.
