Elly Jordan lAllen Heppnerl, Brooklyn guitar player, drifts to a Wyoming dude ranch which is run by Jane Hardy, lLucille Magniezl. He falls in love with her, then is dragged to New York by the over-powering radio producer, Roy Chadwick lFred Cainel , who mistakes Elly for a real cowboy. Much to the crowd's enjoyment, Chadwick's troubles descend with hilarious rapidity when the take is discovered. All ends well as Elly, momentarily hypnotized, wins the world's bull-dogging record. i serious. M, 3. ' A 4 . i l .. ..i-..l 1 il.- Back Row: S. Kishi, l-l. Taniguchi R. Riley, A. Balazs, K. There were three classes that year. The first class gradu- ated in 1926 with thirty members. Now, in 1941, much progress is evident. There are 475 students in the school and lOl in the graduating class, Besides the increase in students, many athletic awards and other honors have been won by the guests of this party. Chester A. Moyle M. C. Jenkins E. A. Heller J, J. McNamara F. E. Hadley OUR PRINCIPAL SPEAKS . . . We laugh and sing and dance as we go with life to a party. We are not afraid. We are Arnerica's chil- dren. Bombs don't frighten us --we can't hear them. There is no danger in playing soldier! When we are hungry, we eat. Why not? There is enough for all. We go to schools - free schools. We read books - all kinds. Who cares? We only play at isms anyway. With us, lite is a game, not a war. We will not be too serious, nor will we grow soft, as we laugh, sing, and dance with life at a party. - LEON LEE 0UR HOS'I'S Our Hosts The Guests On With The Party In The Rumpus Room PR DEDI0ll'l'ION We dedicate this book to the ideals of the American educa- tional system-of adequate preparation not only for higher academic achievements but also tor the development of occu- pational skills, ot harmonious unity between knowledge and application, ot adjusting and adapting students to tit into the complexities ot modern civilization, and ot producing fine young citizens to carry on the work and the traditions of the American nation. l FDREWURD Based on the theme, Livingstonian Goes to a Party, we, the editorial staff, have endeavored to present a graphic picture ot a year of student activities. We hope that the spirit of carefree youth and joyous enthusiasm so characteristic of American high school students has been captured in this book, and that it will serve as a pleasant reminder of a typical year of your high school lite.
