Boys' Service Club The Boys' Service Club of L. H. S., with Mr. Scott and Mr. Lee as advisors, has lived up to its name by truly serving the school and community. The club serves the boys of the school by presenting interesting, instructive and inspirational programs, and it serves the school as a whole by keeping the buildings and grounds clean and by maintaining a well organized fire department. The greatest service which the club renders to the community is the Fathers' and Sons' Party, which brings the school and community together in a very real way. Many benefit programs and dances were given. We exchanged assembly programs with Dos Palos and Merced. Jan Wright and Alta Martin were representatives at the Fresno Girls' League Convention. They brought back the glad news that the convention next fall will be held here. We consider this a great honor, as Livingston will be the first of the smaller schools to have this convention. Other restrictions are also placed on the aspirant. He must be rated on scholarship, cooperation, sports- manship, and ability to compete. The number is also limited by the rules of the club. This year the Varsity Club is sponsoring an'athletes' banquet to be held annually. This year's members are Raymond Rose, Kenneth Meggs, Dan Downey, Clarence Santos, Kermit Dirks, Kaname Miyamoto and Keith Blaine. A A A Seriloblersi Club The Scribblers' Club was organized this year for those interested in foreign cor- respondence, and has quickly grown into one of the most active clubs in school.
