The doors of the huge airship opened and eighty-six passengers descended, viewing the open doors of the school building that seemed to beclcon them with welcome. One by one they hled through the doors, signed program cards and prepared to battle the studies that lay ahead of them. Under the supervision of their efficient advisers, Miss Randol and Miss Starling, they were mustered together and new friendships were made. Meetings were maintained throughout the year twice monthly at which class problems were discussed and dealt with. The ofhcers for the two semesters were as follows: First Semester ROBERT WEIR . VIRGINIA PEROTTI RAFAEL TESTERMAN .ffm President .,,........ . Vice President .......... ...... Rec. Secretary Second Semester . ...SALLY TYREE DOROTHY DAVIS VIRGINIA DESSEL .......Cor. Secretaryn... .. . JO ANN O'BRIEN UGO CAVAIANI ..... .... ............ WGEORGE HALEY On September 30, 1932, the Sophomore class entertained the newcomers with a splendid party held in the auditorium. On October 21, the Freshmen, returned the compliment and everyone had a nice time. A committee consisting of Dolores Hunter, Alton Raible and Virginia Perotti for the first semester, Dorothy Davis, Alton Raible and Irvin Boyles for the second semester was chosen to attend the merits of the class members. The ofhcers elected during the year, by the class, were as follows: STODDARD WINTONL., , ,...,,, President, , , , ,WILLIAM ANDERSON GARLAND LINGERFELT ,,,.. Vice President... ,,,,,,. LUTHER WILLIAMS JAN WRIGHT ,..,,,.,,,,,, I I ,, Secretary, ..,,,,, GEORGANNA SLANKARD RALPH GANTW, ,,,,,,,,, Treasurer ,.,.,,,,,7,. ...UWWILBER LOE GERTRUDE STRATTON , Class Representative BEN ROSSIE After the spring election the first semester officers entertained for the new leaders at the home of Edwin Wolf. During this year class meetings have been held every two weelcs, and aside from the general business, we had entertainments and discussions on topics which proved both interesting and beneficial. Socially we have had a very busy year. The first party of the year was the reception for the Freshmen. On October twenty-first the Freshmen gave us a return party, we all came in costume and had a wonderful time, thanks to our hosts and hostesses and their advisers. Our class party this year took the form of a chicken dinner, and it would be hard to have a better time than we had at that party, due to the splendid class cooperation and the supervision of our class ad- viser, Miss Milligan. We are very proud of our classg we have taken active part this year in all school activities, and scholastically we rank very high. We hope that all of our present members will be in the graduating class of 1935! 0 I Page 12 1 O
