0 0 1 LIVINGSTONIAN 1 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY As the good ship Senior', comes limping into port on the last lap of her long journey, she noticeably lacks the trimness in which she started. Her only reward for the hardships of the past four years is the final resting place where all good ships go-Davy Jones' Locker. The various members of her crew will fare much better we hope. Lately OI' Man Depression has been seen lurking about her decks, and he has made certain that she has received her full quota of storms. As the Freshmanl, she sailed through smooth waters, receiving the good treatment she so heartily deserved. In time she was re-christened the Sophomore and weathered all gales successfully. During this trip her crew entertained and was entertained at two of the most enjoyable parties of the year. On the next cruise, her blue and gold flag flapping in the wind, the Junior sailed along on waters a bit troubled minus a few of her former shipmates and plus a few new sailors. One evening our worthy ship drifted up to the Livingston High School Pier and weighed anchor. From the Garden could be heard the sweet strains of music and the laughter of dancing couples. This was the annual Ball at which the juniors so ably entertained the Seniors. Another evening, pre- vious to this, we steamed up to the pier and presented to an appreciative audience our class play Here Comes Patricia. Now the Senior looks back upon the past years with sorrow, for she knows she will never again hear our happy voices echoing about her empty decks. But it was fun while it lasted, she says. I saw a most wonderful play presented by my deckhands 'Her Western Romeof My sides fairly rocked with laughter at the foolish antics of my children. And never will I forget the joyous time we had when the Juniors entertained us at the Junior-Senior Ball. Friends, we have reached our goal, and we can now look back upon the poor unfortunates who will soon be our successors. QRADUATION We like to look back and remember When we entered this dear old school And all the happy days we spent Under its 'golden rule.' We've had a lot of fun here In spite of all our cares. But we've been a worry to our teachers And caused them many new gray hairs. Now when our time is up, fAnd time will not wait.j We are filled with joy and sorrow For now we must graduate. -David W. Madera game. 10-Livingston debates Hilmar and Hughson. 15-A chicken dinner for the Sophomores. We wonder how they do it. 17-Tigers win victory over Wolves. 21-Livingston recuperates in time to defeat Chowchilla. 22-Installation of Girls' League officers. When I'm the President. 24-Juniors present program in Assembly. Nice work Juniors. MARCH 1-Wolves play Dos Palos. 10- Miss Caruthers Returnsf, Snappy dances! Clever gowns! Valley Vagabondsf 15-Livingston B team loses a championship game to Taft. 22-Blossom Day Party. And OH! how sweet the girls look! 24-Freshman stage an after school party. 30-Boys' free throwing contest. We noticed that the fairer sex wear the trophies. 31-Senior party not a success. Too much baseball. Wolves leave Los Banos with a 10 to O victory in the first league game. APRIL 1-Track meet at Turlock. Congratulations, stars! 7-Wolves give Chowchilla another goose-egg! Livingston debaters win two de- bates from Turlock and Escalon. 10-Mr. Scott leaves school in charge of Mr. Carpenter while he attends the Prin- cipals' Convention at San Jose. 12-17-Easter vacation. 13-Livingston loses to Merced 9-4. Ain't that the jinx? 15-Track stars participate in meet at Hollister. Nice ride anyway. 21-Sophomore class stunt. Z2-More track meet at Los Banos. Honor Scholarship convention at Monterey. 28-Community evening. Parents arrive to inspect work of laboring students. 29-Another track meet at Madera! MAY 5-Observation of Mothers' Day. Lecture by Myrtle Robinson, European lecturer and traveler. 12-The Junior play Seventeen is a decided success. 17-Girls' free throwing contest. 28-Baccalaureate. 29-Annual Junior-Senior Ball. Thanks for the nice time, Juniors! JUNE I-At last! Commencement! 2-School closes. 0 J LIVINGSTONIAN L 0 Junior Class Officers JUNIOR CLASS I-IISTCRY The enrollment of our class in September was sixty-two. Due to the addition of nine new students and the withdrawal of six, our class at present numbers sixty- five. Our advisers, Mrs. Morrison and Miss Knerr, assisted with class functions and activities. The Junior Class attended the Senior-Junior Party on October twenty-eighth. We were entertained with dancing and music. The Juniors ree- ported a good time. We held our first class party February tenth. After the program everybody enjoyed the beans. On May twelfth Seventeen', was pre- sented and proved to be an amusing comedy. The Annual Party for the Seniors was held during Commencement week and the Juniors were good hosts.
