As seniors of The class of 4987, we were given many new responsibiliTies. There were also a loT of changes. Many of us became legal adulTs, and began planning for our fuTures. A loT of us also began preparing To leave home: college bound. ln our lasT year of High School we aTTended many special acTiviTies and evenTs. We also acquired greaT responsibiIiTies ThaT helped To prepare us for The one day of The year ThaT means The mosT To us.us. G-raduaTionl GraduaTion was an incen- Tive for us To compleTe our li..-........ work ThroughouT The year as we came upon iT. While sTruggling Through Term pa- pers, essays, and projecTs The ThoughT of graduaTion was whaT seemed To pull us Through The year. When Teachers lecTured, scolded, or praised us iT was always for our own good . On Top of ThaT, all of The hours of homework, research pa- pers, TesTs, senior check, counseling appoinTmenTs, C.A.P. TesTing, and, of course, final exams lead up To The momenT we re- ceived our High School Di- ploma, ThaT was The goal. STanding on The fooTball field wiTh memories of The year behind gave us a sense of achievemenT. The resTrlcTion of commiTmenT was lifTed from our shoul- ders. All of The burden was gone and we suddenTly had a greaT sense of free- dom. IT was a kind of liberTy in which we had longed To become a parT of.
