Thanks to the Live Oak bilingual teachers that established the Bilingual Club many years ago. the bilingual students of Live Oak are now getting more involved in school activities. One activity that went well is the selling of discount cards from local merchants. They also sold candy, as a fundraiser to go on field trips such as The Exporatorium in San Francisco and visitation of colleges. - Bilingual Club members would like to give thanks to the club officers who have given direction to the club. They would also like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Sendejas, the club's advisor. for giving up a lot of her time and giving a lot of advice to the club. Msssseswmi Above: El club Bilingue. Thanks to Senora Matos, who established the Spanish Club many years ago. the Spanish Club has still been very active, since the first year. The club was originally es- tablished to promote the Spanish culture and the Spanish language. Once a month they had a meeting. to get the club more involved in school ac- tivities. Club members par- ticipated in the intra-Club Olympiad held in the spring as well as selling candy, to raise money for the club. Spanish Club members, this year are very thankful to Senora Morgan and Senora Trottier, for helping out the club. in all the activities they participated this year, and for giving them great ad- vice. for the club.
