The main pur- pose this club was established was to provide chess competi- tion Through involvement in the Santa Clara County League, to provide opportunities to devel- op chess play, and to promote Chess recreationally and com- pe-tltively. In April the Chess Club was in- volved in the National High School Championship fPuIaski, Virginiaj.
