Elsong K Future Business Leaders of America QFBLA3 was first established by Kiki Nakauchi in 4969, representatives from San Jose High came and introduced the organization to Live Oak. The purpose of this club is to teach interested students about business and leadership. lt also introduced different areas of education and any scholar- ships available. FBLA was involved with an amount of community school service this year. They participated in Lions' White Cane Day, can food drives, March of Dimes and program sales at foot- ball games. They also sold Pumpkin grams. Santa grams, Easter baskets, and candy sales. A major component of the business education are the competi- tions held at district and regional levels. Some of the competitions in which FBLA attended were a one day Bay area Competition, for the state level they went to a three day workshop and at the national level they participated in a four day workshop for leader- ship and career qualities. f Right bottorn.'
