POWERFUL ACTION 0 THRILLING- WINS MARK TRIUMPHANT SEASON Getting oll' to a roaring start, the Lions posted a I4 to 0 victory over Cookeville with the aid ol' Roger Fish and Charlie Ingram. Ingram put the game on iee lor the Lions when he raced 54 yards for the tally, elimaxing an 89-yard drive. He also scored the extra point on a running play around right end. lVith the first victory ol' the year, the Big Blue had high hopes. Roger Fish intercepts pass of Cavaliers. Entering the Memphis Central tilt in jovial spirits, the Big Blue defeated the Vlarriors 27 to I9 ehalking up another victory against the Mein- phis City powerhouse for the filth straight year.
