' This year, as you will notice, we are including some humorous features in the '61 LION. This is not the result of an over-happy staff, because there were numerous difficulties which had to be overcome as in the production of any yearbook. Actually, this result is accomplished by two exceptional artists whose talent is matched only by their sense of humor. Thus we hope you will take the spirit of fun and good will stemming from this book and carry it with you for the rest of your school days. THE '61 LION STAFF . This has been accomplished by amending the constitution and arranging activities to meet the school's growing needs. The Student Council worked hard to plan many events, among them were Homecoming, an exchange program with Shawnee-Mission, and Lion's Day. As always, the council endeavored to promote better re- lations between the students and the admin- istration. Mr. Wells and student council members Kay Anderson and Chuck Wendt perform their duties during a locker clean out. '61 lion taff Editor ...... . . Associate Editor . . Organizations Editor . .
