if- fr We, the Wildcat Staff, fondly dedicate the l956 edition to Mrs. Mar y Ruff who has brought to her classroom a high ideal of unselfish service and a crystal purity of character. As our Speech and English teacher she spurs us on to better things for: She shapes her speech all silver fine Because she loves it so. And her own eyes begin to shine To hear her stories grow. Her speech is as a thousand eyes Through which we see the earth. They are as fair as bloom or air, They shine like any star, And I arn rich who learned from her How beautiful they are. -Anna Hempstead Branch
