L'...7'l.S. Shines Sn Salad Bowl .Tarade Corinne Dudley, Salad Bowl Princess from Litchfield High School, flashes on the charm as she rides through the streets of Phoenix .... The students construct a winner with the float they entered in the Salad Bowl Parade. The theme was From the Desert, a Flower Blooms , it depicted Miss America rising from an Arizona blossom.

Student Council .Has .Active year UNDER THE GUIDANCE of their faculty adviser, Mr. A. L. Tidwell, and their student-body presi- dent, Woody Gaillard, the 1949-'50 L.I'I.S. Student Council has been on the alert to under- stand and deal with the problems constantly arising at the school, The members have worked untiringly to better school life and have taken an active part in community affairs. The first task ot the year was the redecorating ot the room in the tower. To accomplish this, members of the council sanded and varnished the table, painted the floor, and gave the room a complete clean-up job. The Student Council joined the National Association of Student Councilsp took up a col- lection to give needy families at Christmas time, built a prize winning float that was entered in the Salad Bowl Porradep arranged to have a volley' ball league, made up of the four classesp planned the all-school picnic at Mesa on May 19, handled the plans for the student- body electiong and sent Woody Gaillard, Bill I-Iardison, Corinne Dudley, and Wanda Damron to the State Student Council Convention at Yuma. Rivera. 7949-1950 Eventful For Girls' League THE LITCI-ll:'lELD CHAPTER of Girls' League, a branch of the national federation, holds as its main goal the promotion of friendship and good. citizenship among the girls. Early in the fall a get-acquainted party Was held for all the girls at L.H.S. In October, Litchfield was the scene of the state fall convention. This spring, the Litchfield Girls' League sent delegates to the Arizona-California district convention in Burbank, California.
