integration, or political system. Its purpose is at once the discipline of the mind for its own sake: these ends are to be achieved through the mastery of fundamental subjects which cluster around language and number, the two chief instruments by which man knows himself and understands his relation to the world. — Allen Tate Juanita Hardy Mary Camp 98 Christine Burttram Lorine Gowens David Bradford Catherine Burke Betty Cole Barbara Downey Rose Alldredge Gail Anderson Lois Baggett Barbara Bishop Pat Clay David Croft Gene Durham Marie Evans 99 Jane Gilchrist John Gipson Elsie Grice J. Tonight we have three special awards to be given at our reunion ... Fredrick Terry, Jeff Smith, and Jackie Rhoden, here’s your diploma. Almost ten years ago Richard Garmon was crowned 1984 King of the LHS Coronation Ball. To- day he has reached new heights. He is now the national spokesman for Burger King and stars as the Magic Burger King in their commercials. Oh, and by the way Angie Davis, Richard got King not Queen. Dancing has become a way of life for Amy Freeman. She now has an excuse to wear all her jewelry at one time she is a belly dancer. Bruce Watford has fulfilled his dreams of becoming an artist. He is now an instructor of art at Duck Spring Elementary. Replacing Miss Jane on Romper Room, Michelle Studdard is teaching children, ages 2 thru 5, the fundamental skills of basketball. We are pleased to announce that the following guys are to be in- ducted into the Barnyard Hall of Fame for their prolific basketball achievements: Frederick “Chickenman” Williams, Tommy “Tomcat” Stanley, Sharn “Fish” Johnson, and Chad “Goat” Evans. Also inducted as Manager of the Year for 1994 is Kerry “Wabbit” Calhoun. After the retirement of LHS Home Economics teachers, Jackie and Becky Cole are now heading the department. Will wonders never cease? Jeff Britton is now the head baseball coach at LHS. In high school, Shirley Wilson was known as the girl with all the books. Today she is still into books. She owns Shirley’s Booktique. Opening her new line of lingerie made completely of handiwipes, is fashion expert, Myra Hardy. Also introducing a new line of clothes is Marilyn Durrah with her “Doodah Dresses” made completely of burlap bags and that ever famous moth ball scent. Fashion consultant, Lawonda Huntley, really has her hands full. She is busy designing an en- tire new collection of gloves for superstar Michael Jackson. Remember Lawonda, hands off. K-Mart’s newest employer, Jeff Hardie, has been named head designer for their new line of Texas steer boots. Audrey Toles has landed a job on ABC’s Good Morning America, replacing Rona Barrett as the top gossip columnist. We always knew she’d make it big knowing everyone’s business. Speaking of business! There has been a new business opened up across the street from Litchfield High School. Josephine Huff owns the corner “Chewing Gum Store.” A new joint venture is in the works for Robbie Whitten and Kathy Gilmore. They are opening up a car wash specializing in the removal of egg from cars. Their slogan is “De-Yolk Your Car.” Lavora Aaron is now part owner of the McCants’ Clean-up Shop. Skunkey’s Car Lot is now open for business with the proud new owner Jason Lowery. Phillip Gambling and his wife Phyllis own a quaint little shop called Brief Case Unlimited. Former classmate Angie Steger is the proud new owner of a cute little flower shop on Coleman Street. Having taken over the exclusive chain of Food Giant Inc., Jeff Martin is offering to every customer an autographed 8x10 glossy of himself in his Litchfield uniform. Got any old chewing gum lying around, stuck to chairs and so forth? Well, Chris Copeland is now buying old school desks to recycle the old gum for his Bub- ble Gum Factory. The famous world renowned Todd Smith has just opened up his famous Italian restaurant specializing in squid-a-roni. David Hayes is now head cook at Quincy’s Restaurant and is no longer blister prone, but burn prone. It is a good thing Angie Davis did not make a cowgirl. She can’t stand to tie anything down. Just ask the guys she has dated. After graduation Lisa Jenkins moved to Birmingham and open- ed a Video Arcade. She was forc- ed to close however, when a boy, thinking she was a new game, placed a quarter between her teeth and she choked on it. Entrepreneur Jerome Boswell has opened his new restaurant specializing in “Frog” legs. Because of his extremely loud and clearly spoken voice, Robbie Copeland has landed the job as head auctioneer at Tooley’s Auc- tion Company. Now making a living tutoring his college friends in Algebra is Sean Brewer. He’s making ten dollars an hour and loves his work. Georgia Higgins has truly lived up to her name. She is a suc- cessful politician and is mayor of Higgins, Georgia. Mr. Universe for 1994 is none other than Steve Witherspoon. The newest game show to the tube is “Name That Baby.” Hosting the spectacular is none other than baby naming expert Donna Evans. Still auditioning for Star Search” in hopes of becoming an amateur comedian is Steve Bohannon with his rendition of The United Midgets of America have named new co-persons as their leaders — Stacy Wiemann and Tina Hughley. Former classmate Jay Cooper is finally a giant in his own right. He is the first person under five feet tall to fly in outer space. Three of our former classmates are on this week’s bestseller’s list: Rudy Borgersrode with his newest book entitled How To Write a Research Paper and Jeff McRae with his award winning 101 Places to Get a Passion Mark. Look out Harlequin, here comes still competition from Melinda Bailey and her new line of romance books entitled Bailey’s Romances. Congratulations are in order for Johna Hooks and Allen Under- wood for regaining the World Tag-Team Championship. You are all invited to their next match tomorrow morning at 8:00 in the Litchfield parking lot. Be there! After many years of trying to get into the Army, Kim Rawls has finally passed the ASVAB. Dressing in camouflage mini- skirts and hot pink pumps during fatigue inspection, Kim Smith and Cindy Whisenant have final- ly given cause for the dishonorable discharges they received from the U.S. Army. Furnishing the music for our 1994 reunion is none other than the “Q’s”; Oscar Young, Trent Hardy, Derek James, Derrick Powell, and Michael Thomas. They have formed a group called the “Desk Beaters” and are tour- ing the country as the next new- wave group of the century. Rush down to the nearest theatre to catch former classmate Scott Gregory in his first feature film. Scott has been cast in the new Star Wars sequel “The Reincar- nation of Yoda.” Joining the ranks of professional football players for the Gadsden Gophers is none other then Steve Holcomb. After years of turmoil, Kala Sizemore has finally learned she can't fall in love with every guy she meets. Joe Adams and Laura Marshall have landed parts on the hit daytime soap “All My Children.” Sweet Laura is por- traying Liza Colby and Joe is the cast in the role of Tad Martin. The Reverend Craig “Brillo” Tumlin finally has his own televi- sion show broadcasting the “Moonie Religion” across the airways for all to see. This is a sad day for our former classmate Heath Johnson. He has been disinherited by his family for not being as successful as the rest of his family, especially his uncles. Things are very confusing around the households of Charlotte Gray, Angela Gray, Charlotte Smith, and Angela Norman. They have each named their daughters either Angela or Charlotte. Introducing the most phenomenal hairstyling school ever in the big city of Gadsden are Darnella Moseley, Rita Hughley, Shawn Patillo, Sophia Woods and Jennifer Jackson. They have just recently opened the “Wild and Willie,” styling all types of hair. Diane Daniels and Deborah Sayles are on the cover of Glamour Magazine for the month of May, 1994. Con- gratulations, you famous glamour girls! After years of modeling school, Rosemari Jemison has finally landed her first job — modeling used clothes at Boman's Salvage. Some drastic changes have come about in the lives of Darin Pope and Suzanne Flowers. Darin is now a preacher, and Suzanne is a punk rocker. After years of playing the field, Sherita Isom has finally realized that Vernon is the love of her life. Jill Herring has settled down and married the man of her dreams — Garfield. Want to learn about the works of nature in the animal kingdom? Well, Katrina Butts has her own wildlife safari. All the animals are wild and carefree — just like Katrina. Joining the ranks of professional volleyball players are Olivia Mc- Cloud and Angela Wilson. Together they form the deadly “Smash Duo. A new professional women’s basketball team is in the plann- ing. Joyce Wilson and Sylvia Coats have joined forces to form the “Weezy Wildcats.” We have another member of the Barn Yard Hall of Fame with us tonight. Now a famous cheerleader with the Dallas Cowboys is Nellie Jo Hester. Voted the most talkative person in the world, Bonnie Haley has replaced Howard Cosell on the ABC sports network. Green Valley Raceway’s most popular racers are none other than former classmates Todd Lumpkin, Bryan Crane, and Gina Bruce. Today is a happy day for Theotis French and Vernon Hutchinson. They have finally found the perfect people — their reflections. After his brief course in com- puter science at L.H.S., Danny Cox is nowa computer wizard. Making his home on the range, Mike Mitchell and his wife and family are now cattle farmers in the big country of Attalia. Congratulations go out to Kathy Hunter for being named Miss Teensee Weensee of 1994. She won this honor by having the smallest waistline in America. After always being late for school, Anthony Sandridge and Joel Glass were the first two to show up tonight for our ten year reunion. The following people were unable to attend our ten year reunion because we have lost contact with them over the years; Charles Byers, Valinda Boose, Rodney Houser, and Allen Perkins.
