As the graduation ceremony draws to a close, Lisa Wright sings, “The Theme from Mahogany.” The benediction is given by Oakley Patterson. As the ceremony ends, the graduates leave the auditorium wondering what the outside world holds in store for them.

Mr. Williams, Mr. Williams receives a standing ovation as he accepts the plaque given to him by the Litchfield student body. The plaque was given to him for his outstanding work in making Litchfield the best high school in the Gadsden School System. Your presence at Litchfield has meant more to us than we could ever express. The devo- tion that you have given to the school has made a lasting impression on each student and faculty member. When all things seemed at its worst, you were always there to help and made us feel that we had someone behind us that was willing to guide and support us. The memo- ries that you have given us can never be replaced. For this, we would like to thank you and to let it be known that you will be missed and that you hold a special place in each and every students heart.
