Burns. 1 24 1 sefoocep On September ll, 1944, a new family moved into the Lindsay High School communi- ty, a family whose members were destined to become the school's leading citizens. It was the class of 'A47, We began as all classes must as lowly sophomores, but it was ap- parent from the start that nothing could hold us back. Our seventy-three members immediately elected D e a n 'ASlim Iessup as our class presi- dent, the one who was to lead us to glory in our first year at Lindsay High. We chose to have Willard Miller take over the class presidency in our jun- ior year. This year we showed ade- quate proof of our school spirit, businesslike manner, and dra- matic ability, by putting on the junior rally, the junior dance, and the junior play, one success after the other.
