The hurrying and scurrying of the boys, with the thudding of the rammer, and the sizzling and sparking of poured aluminum give ample proof that it is a busy and important shop. Page 18 rreg- Standing by the evenly arranged mu- chines amid the whirling of lllllI'lllllt' belts. eager students proudly turn out 9 Carefully executing the cutting of a eone on one of the lathes, the boy realizes the necessity of pro- ducing accurate projects. The humming of belts and flywheels give evidence that machine shop is a productive shop. As someone jumps out of the way of flying steel, we arrive at the conclusion that it is a safe shop. Seriously though, the strictest regulations governing safety are observed in machine shop. Besides running the machines, the problem of servicing them and understanding their nlechanics ' must be met. In accordance with these problems the boys receive theory training concerning the solving of industrial problems.
