66198499 Spellbound, the audience watched the terrifying, moving story of l984 as Big Brother watched everyone. Margie Terran- ova and Mike Cobb excellently portrayed Julia and Winston, a couple in love, who rebelled against the loveless society in which they lived. Sharon Underwood, Joe Hulser, and Mike Heimos also performed superbly as unemotional characters in the play. Mrs. Peppers ingeniously trained the stu- dent actors to dramatically show the cal- lous, uncaring sides of human nature as George Orwell depicted in the novel on which this drama is based. Beth Horkits, student director, Sue Walsh, stage man- ager, and her assistant, Jean Bornholdt, also worked hard to make the winter play a suc- cess on February 9, 10, and ll, 1978. .N 'l'lll-Il'l'lI'llIl' llll-l -Ill' X ,Mgt Ah

Giving an excellent performance in the title role, Sue Womack lead the cast of thirty-two before enthusias- tic crowds on April 27, 28, 29. Fvfau- reen Corbett, Auntie Mame's maid, Kevin Mitchell, the butler, and Mike Starkey, Mr. Babcock, were a large credit to the play. Kurt Koenig not only made his debut but also became the first middle school student to appear in a high school play here. Mr. John Weiss, faculty director, Margie Terranova, student directorg and Beth Horkits, stage manager, were also to be applauded. The many rounds of applause that rang through Gym One demon- strated that the 1978 spring play was among the most popular perfor- mances ever at Lindbergh. x J r 5 ' ' E E I 3 E - 5 ' 5 2 :1 I F' 5 W I Z C 0 5 l
