Royalty Reigns Over Homecoming Dance tra 1.61, Maid Sherry Kardell Knight John Ferris Maid Shelly Merritt Knight Mike Hyde Eh 1, Queen Lynn Palecek King Steve Mosier The Coronation, the highlight of the Home- coming Dance was emceed by Debbie Triplett and Dwight Bouck. They first introduced the attendants: Diane Robben, Debbie Lynch, Sher- ry Merritt, Connie Bearden, Lori Weiler, Dave Robben, Steve Duban, Jay Myers, Bob Augus- tine, and T. J. Sundhausen. Maids and knights were introduced, then, the new queen and king were announced. Retiring Queen Bonnie Boni- face and King John Dunda crowned their succes- sors, Lynn Palecek and Steve Mosier. Red Sails In The Sunset at me On a brisk October 22nd night. wind swished through red. yellow, and blue streamers hung from the doorways for the grand entrance. To the left, miniature sail- boats on the horizon decorated the Com- mons windows. To the right, the music of .lay Barry played Red Sails ln The Sunset . Coronation maids at the Pep Club-spon- sored dance were Lau- rie Walter. Tracey Milligan, Sherry Kar- dell, Shelly Merritt. and Lynn Palecek. John Ferris, Steve Nlo- sier, Kevin Tully. Nlike Hyde, and Craig Hooper were Home- coming Dance Knights. The evenings climax was the crow n- ing of Lynn Palecek and Steve Nlosier. newly-elected royalty 13

Disco LHS- Pass And Hangar Dances A dim setting, loud, fast-moving musicg exchanging new dance ideasg and GET DOWN! November ll, December 9, February 25, and May 12, the Commons was rocked by Progress. Faustus, March Hare, and First Addition. Though tickets rose to Sl.5O this year, Student Council was successful in making each dance a sell-out. The Pass Dance, September 9. guest starred a disc jockey from the DISCO ROCK SUNSHINE PRODUCTIONS. The dance was dedicated to students participating in fall sports, as well as those who purchased a fall-season-sports pass. Afterwards, McDonalds and Pizza Hut were usually swamped with the boogied-out student body. ex.-1
